November 28, 2025 Friday Our return to home base. Today we were up and moving fairly early. After breakfast there was play time but also packing to do. We also helped our daughter-in-law empty out some things from the future nursery. Our son was feeling better and drove himself to shoot around and seemed to be doing much better. November 27, Thursday Thanksgiving Day is upon us. Today was a traditional style Thanksgiving. After some of us were up we watched the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade on NBC from start to finish. We don’t all watch intently but it is on until the dog show comes on. We usually watch a few minutes of that before changing channels to something kid friendly. November 26, 2025 Wednesday With our son still in bed and his wife needing to work some today, we took our grandson to the Perot Museum. The first hour was more building with blocks and magnets. They have thousands of different types of LEGO type blocks to build with. Then there was climbing, sliding and playing in water. We moved on to the dinosaur area which is most impressive. November 25, 2025 Tuesday We woke up early enough to get to our son’s team’s basketball game which was scheduled for 12:30. However, before we were completely ready to go we found out our other son was in the emergency room with what has been diagnosed as a kidney stone. So we made a change of plans. November 24, 2025 Monday Overnight storms were loud and intense waking us from time with nearby lightning strikes. The storms have moved on to the east and today is looking like a nice day with a high temperature of 71 degrees. This could possibly be the last day this year to see a temperature in the 70s here. November 23, 2025 Sunday Today is our travel day for going home. We haven’t been “home” since at least November 1 depending on the definition of “home”. We haven’t been to our home base one day this month. Tuesday we may spend a night there but that is uncertain. We have several difficult family situations going on so our plans have to stay fluid. November 22, 2025 Saturday Today was reserved for going to the park to play, having lunch with some friends and alumni, watching the game and then getting everyone to the airport for their flight back home. This morning David took our grandson to the nearby playground where they spent about an hour climbing, jumping, sliding and swinging. It was a fun time. November 21, 2025 Friday After having breakfast we headed out for some fun with our grandson. His mother stayed back at the house to do some work. Since our grandson is presently really into dinosaurs we decided we would spend the day at Dinosaur Ridge and the Morrison Natural History Museum. November 20, 2025 Thursday Today was a day for just wayfare living in Arvada. We just enjoyed hanging out at the house waiting for time to go pick up our grandson and his mother at the airport. November 19, 2025 Wednesday Today was a mostly lazy day. We did some laundry. We visited Olde Town and bought some streusel rolls to have later tonight. November 17, 2025 Monday Travel Day to Denver This morning we were up and getting things in order for us to leave our condo. We had everything together and in the car ready to drive away at 10:45. November 17, 2025 Sunday This morning we slept in and lounged around still with no plan for the day which is a nice thing to be able to say. Chance of thunderstorms from 2:00 to 4:00 and 90% chances of rain throughout the day. At around 11:30 we set our sights on doing some canyon drives into the mountains. We picked up some Jersey Mikes on the way so that we could do a little picnic along Mill Creek. Mill Creek Canyon Road was our first drive and the closest to our Vrbo.

When he returned we took a drive into the mountains with plans to visit the Olympic Skiing area and Park City. November 13, 2025 Thursday Travel Day to SLC. This morning we were in no hurry to get up since checkout was at 11:00 and our flight was not until 4:17. We also decided to rent a car in SLC since the Uber rides are costing so much these days. November 12, 2025 Wednesday Disneyland Day! Today we tried a never attempted approach to going through security and entering Disneyland. From our hotel we walked to the security entrance into Downtown Disney on the west side of the parks. The lines were not long but there were only three lines working.
