This morning we woke fairly early but not early enough for rope drop. We decided to use the Anaheim bus service to the parks since the stop is really close by and to save some steps. After a short wait the bus arrived. We tracked it on the app. The bus dropped us off at the transportation island around 8:15. There were big crowds waiting to go through security but it didn’t take too long. Then we walked to the California Adventure entry lines and waited some more. We were in the park at 8:28.

Once inside the park we immediately secured a Lightning Lane for Soaring and purchased our LL for Radiator Springs Racers. All of this was done on the walk to Guardians of the Galaxy where we had planned to wait in the standby line. It took about 50 minutes to wait in line and ride the ride. We waited for Guardiams so that we could use a LL for a second ride in the evening. On the walk over to Radiator Springs we mobile ordered our lunch at Flo’s for 10:30. Our window for RS Racers began at 9:35 so this worked out pretty well. After RS Racers we got in line and rode Luigi’s Roadsters since we had a little time before our lunch pick up. We then walked to Flo’s and picked up our lunch order. We sat in Flo’s and ate lunch and then walked slowly toward Soaring for our LL.

After two hours in the park at 10:28 we secured a second LL for Incredicoaster. We bought a cookie to eat with what remained of our drinks from lunch while we waited for our LL window. After Soaring we walked toward the Incredicoaster via the Grizzly Riverrun ride. We didn’t ride the rapids ride bit continued on to our next LL. After riding Soaring we decide to use our LL to secure a ride on Guardians since the earliest window was now 8:00. On the walk over we secured our virtual cue reservation for World of Color at the end of the night.

We rode the Incredicoaster, bought some drinks, shopped a little and then sat down for a few minutes. David went and rode the Silly Symphony Swings while Amy took a longer break. The time for our LL came up just before he got on the swings and we have hoped to get a Toy Story Mania LL but they were gone for the day. Instead we opted for an LL on The Grizzly Riverrun ride. Since it was only about 2:30 it was decided that we would wait in the Goofys Sky School line for the posted 50 minute wait. We really didn’t have anything better to do. While in line we did make one change. We switched out rapids LL for a Little Mermaid LL because the rapids ride window was after dark and the Little Mermaid was at 4:30. From Goofys Sky School we walked to the big wheel thing and rode it while waiting for our Little Mermaid LL. Walking around the lake took just enough time for us to reach Little Mermaid and use our LL. That freed up another LL which we used for Monster Inc. So by 5:00 we had two LLs, one for Monster Inc at 7:05 and one for Guardians at 8:00. That was going to be it for LLs with the World of Color at 9:00. We spent some time around the front of the park and finally decided we would go wait in a 50 minute line for Web Slingers. Just before getting on the ride we mobile ordered food from the Smokjumpers Grill for 6:45. We walked over to our dinner meal and then headed over to ride Monsters Inc. From Monsters Inc it was onward to the World of Color to which we were somewhat late to the entry to our viewing area. We found a spot and watched and listened to this amazing and entertaining presentation of celebration.

We walked out with the rest of the crowd and made our way to where our bus was supposed to be picking up. We arrived at the #9 bus stop at about 9:45. When a bus did finally arrive its placard read 9/11. Then the bus stopped at the #10 bus stop. This meant people from both stops converging on the smallest bus we saw the entire evening. We were unable to get on the bus and had to wait on this same bus to return. When it returned there were words between some of those waiting which was stressful for everyone. We did get on this bus at about 10:50. It was messy but we made it home. I would say the ART buses may be a little suspect if you really expect great service.
