Wayfaring Day 190

This morning was another mostly lazy day with the dog and cat. We kept the fire going and watched a little tv or listened to BBC 2.

Our outing for today was an afternoon trip into town. We caught the bus to Huddersfield and then did a little walk around the area near the bus station. We explored and took some pics. We went into an old church and read about the history and looked at their stained glass and ceiling architecture. After our little walk we stopped into a quick service restaurant called The Ladz. We had burgers, curley fries and mozzarella sticks and though it was a little different we enjoyed it.

From there we walked to the grocery store. We brought our Sainsbury bags with us. We split the items so that neither bag was very heavy. Here we found more choices and many items that the small local Sainsbury did not have. Once we were checked out we hade the short walk to the bus station which is almost behind the food store.

We caught the X1 express back to our street and then walked up to our place. The doggie was happy to see us but the cat seemed not to care. We unpacked our groceries and got the fire going again. We watched several episodes of “Only Murders in the Building” while lounging in front of the fire and hanging with the pets. Tomorrow we have our show in Manchester so that should be fun.
