Travel Day to SLC.
This morning we were in no hurry to get up since checkout was at 11:00 and our flight was not until 4:17.
We also decided to rent a car in SLC since the Uber rides are costing so much these days. We didn’t take any insurance from Hertz but we did take out the limited and less expensive additional insurance through Expedia. Our Uber had us to LAX at about noon which mean we would have some time before our flight.

We tried to check our bags but Frontier informed us that we cannot check bags more than three hours before a flight. We found a place to sit while waiting on 1:17 and found the 7-11 one floor down where we purchased a sandwich and a drink. At 1:17 we attempted to print our bag tags but the machine did not actually print them. When we tried again the machine would not print because we had already printed them. So we took the bags to the agent and had them print the tags for us. From there it was up to security. We had no problems until they found a tube of body wash that was too large. Instead of throwing it away we let them escort us out of security so that we could try another plan. Amy is supposed to get 2 checked bags with her Frontier credit card but we had not been able to link that info to her flights. We had a bag we were going to carry on because we only had 2 free checked bags. Amy called the Frontier credit card number and they sorted things out so that she had a free checked bag. We put the tube in the bag and checked it. Then we went through TSA pre check a second time. This time with no issues. Yes, the tube of body wash was new and expensive.
Frontier sent us a gate assignment at about 2:30. The gate was a few terminals away so we had to take the bus over to our gate. After a little waiting we were getting onboard with less baggage than anticipated which was nice. The flight was uneventful and short.
We arrived so early our rental car was not ready but eventually we received the notification and found our Nissan Sentra. Dinner was at a really fancy place apparently owned by a girl named Wendy. We were close to our Vrbo but not totally sure about the process of getting in due to a little communication issue. It turned out to be easy to get in and the place is going to be perfect for us since we can walk to Westminster University from here.
