Wayfaring Day 146 - Day 5 Arvada

November 22, 2025 Saturday

Today was reserved for going to the park to play, having lunch with some friends and alumni, watching the game and then getting everyone to the airport for their flight back home.

This morning David took our grandson to the nearby playground where they spent about an hour climbing, jumping, sliding and swinging. It was a fun time.

Afterwards our daughter-in-law finished packing and we loaded their bags into the car. We met some friends and alumni at a sandwich place for lunch. The sandwiches were good. David’s Cuban looked about the best of anything that was ordered. From the restaurant we drove a short distance to the venue for the game. The game was crazy and resulted in yet another loss so we all headed to the airport in a poor mood. Everyone was checked in and heading through security when we left the airport for the Vrbo one last time. We should see them all again tomorrow evening.

The rest of the evening we watched some not close college football games and packed up for the trip. We also did some cleaning up and putting food that was left over in the trash. We tried to put most things back in their original location. We plan to get out of the house at 9:00 and get our rental car turned in around 10:00. Our flight leaves at 1:50 so we can check bags at 10:50. We haven’t been back home since November first so it is good to be heading back to something more familiar.
