Wayfaring Day 144 - Day 3 Arvada

November 20, 2025 Thursday

Today was a day for just wayfare living in Arvada. We just enjoyed hanging out at the house waiting for time to go pick up our grandson and his mother at the airport. They were supposed to be in Denver at 1:30 but the flight was delayed due to weather. It was delayed again and again until they were finally able to get out at about 6:00! We had thought we would pick them up and go find some lunch. Now with an arrival time of after 7:00 we were not sure how things would play out.

With extra time we decided to go ahead and have lunch. We chose a nearby fish and chips place which was very good. At that point the plane was scheduled for 5:30 so we still had a long time before going to the airport. We washed some towels and played on our phones. Another Walmart run was made for just a few items. Later we made a bakery run for more streusel rolls.

At about 6:00 we left for the airport. The team, our son, grandson and daughter-in-law grabbed their bags and then we separated from the team. They had to find a place to eat and get to their hotel in Golden. We headed to the house with thoughts of stopping by someplace for food along the way. It was decided we would just go back to the house since it was pretty late. We had some fruit and a few other snacks before watching a little tv and playing with blocks and then turned in for the night.
