Disneyland Day!
Today we tried a never attempted approach to going through security and entering Disneyland. From our hotel we walked to the security entrance into Downtown Disney on the west side of the parks. The lines were not long but there were only three lines working. Once we were inside security we walked to the monorail line which wasn’t long at all. We were in line at 8:00 at which time they started scanning tickets for entrance to the monorail which means entrance into Disneyland. We immediately got our first Lightning Lane for the Matterhorn. The first monorail entered the station at about 8:10 and we were able to get on with space to spare. The monorail delivered us to Tomorrowland after its scenic ride through Disneyland.

To begin our riding we walked to Space Mountain and got in the 25 minute wait standby line. From Space Mountain we walked over and used our Matterhorn LL and since the line was short we got in line and rode a second time. After the first ride we secured a LL for Indiana Jones. After the Matterhorn we stopped by Star Tours and Buzz Lightyear en route to Adventure Land. There we rode the River Cruise and Pirates. While waiting at Pirates we mobile ordered some corn dogs and fries and drinks from Stage Door Cafe. We used a LL for Thunder Mountain and then hopped on the Columbia for a trip around Tom Sawyer Island. It was then time for Indiana Jones. After Indiana we hopped aboard the Disneyland Railroad for a circumnavigation of the park and while on the train we were able to get a LL for Tiana’s. Once off the train we headed to Tiana’s and only got marginally wet. We walked through Galaxy’s Edge and eventually made our way to Fantasyland where we waited about 45 minutes for Peter Pan, a real Disney classic. Now we were jumping around trying to use as many LLs as possible. Our next stop was the Haunted Mansion. Then we trekked over to Micky and Minnie’s Runaway Train. Our next thing was the 7:55 showing of Tapestry of Happiness at Its a Small World. It was then time for our LL for Roger Rabbit which we were unable to do on our last visit to Disneyland. We did get one more LL for the day for a second ride on Star Tours on our way to Main Street.

We did a little shopping on Main Street and were leaving the park just as the Wondrous Journeys presentation was starting on Main Street. We had done as much as we wanted and more and we were pretty tired. Exiting the park to the west we walked back to our hotel which we felt would take far less time than walking to the east side and “hoping” for a bus. Somewhere in the middle of all of this we had a Ronto Roaster, Dole Whips and Mickey ice cream bars. All in all a pretty fun day.
