November 15, 2025 Saturday
David cooked breakfast and walked the bet to shoot around again this morning. When he returned we took a drive into the mountains with plans to visit the Olympic Skiing area and Park City. We drove up the Emigrant Road for a more scenic drive along a two lane road with more bicycles than cars. At the end of the road we connected to I-80 for the drive to the Park City exit.

Our first stop was the Olympic Ski area and Ski Museum. The museum is free so we walked through and learned a little about a sport we have no experience with at all. It was a more interesting place than we had expected and spent about an hour there. It was tempting to pay the $225 to do a bobsled run but we opted out.

From there we drove to Main Street in Park City. There was more to the old town than we anticipated. It reminds us a little of Jackson, Wyoming: lots of art and food and hard to park. We decided to just drive through and then head back toward Salt Lake City. We stopped and had a little snack and used the bathrooms before getting on the interstate. The drive is downhill all the way to the city. Our exit is at Sugar Hill Park and it was really bustling today. It’s as if people are taking advantage of the last sunny Saturday they will see in a long time.

Back at the condo we made a few phone calls and rested. It was tempting to do something else before the game but there was only about 2 hours until the time we wanted to be in the gym.

The game did not go that well but we enjoyed seeing our son and some of the parents, players and coaches we know. We walked back to our condo where we had some light snacks and watched some TV until pretty late. Tomorrow we have no real plans. There is a good chance of rain so that may affect our decisions.
