December 18, 2025 Thursday The morning was dedicated to David’s mom and her hospital visit for the imaging that was scheduled yesterday. She was back at the nursing center by about 11:30. Later at home we had our leftover Chinese food for lunch. In the afternoon we went to David’s mother’s house to do some organizing and cleaning up for Christmas. December 17, 2025 Wednesday Today David had to stop taking his pain medicine due to an allergic reaction. Unfortunately this means having more pain. He at least had one good day. We visited with David’s parents in the afternoon. From there we went to buy a gift card for our older son and some groceries for Christmas preparation. The evening was spent resting and watching tv. December 16, 2025 Tuesday The days have been pretty sad lately but it could be said that we are still Wayfaring. Presently we are in a home base phase and not a travel phase. December 15, 2025 Monday This morning Amy drove David to his dentist appointment for his cleaning. His knee is not any better so he is avoiding driving. David had an appointment with his regular doctor today at noon with hopes that something could be done or that he would be referred to an orthopedic doctor for a possible MRI. He received a steroid shot and was told they would work on setting up an MRI pretty much as we expected. He was still in pain all evening but possib

December 14, 2025 Sunday Sunday morning Amy got up and went to cheer h with her dad and bonus mom. She left David in bed where he can rest some more in a near no pain position. David do get up and get ready so that he could go eat lunch with them. After lunch we stopped at the post office to pick up the mail and then went to see David’s mom and dad while David is not having too much pain. December 13, 2025 Saturday Today is the first name we have both been back at home base together for a long time. We have had several online purchases delivered here so Amy used the day for opening packages and wrapping some Christmas presents. David is staying off his feet and icing his knee trying to make things a little better but there is little change. We feel sure he will be getting an MRI sometime soon. He is getting around better but still in pain. Even though David

December 12, 2025 Friday Today started out poorly with David having major issues with his knee. It has been giving him problems lately but now seems to have made a turn for the worse. Amy drove to our son’s house to get him and take him to a clinic near our home base and his primary care physician. This made for a long and very unproductive day. December 11, 2025 Thursday Today David got up early enough to get to the hospital around 8:00 am. He and his brothers were there together from around 9:30 to 11:30. During that time they were given dates for her meeting with the doctor as well as the date for the procedure. The doctor came in and informed them that he was going to discharge her. December 10, 2025 Wednesday A very slow day all around. David with his mother all day and Amy with her sister and niece all day. David’s mother had her exploratory procedure done today and everything came back good except for the main problem. That is about as good the news for her is going to get but things are looking positive. Amy’s sister had business over an hour away for part of the day so Amy took care of things while she was gone. December 9, 2025 Tuesday This morning we checked out of our hotel and did some shopping. Then we had some lunch at Wendy’s and from there went to see our daughter-in-law. We hung out there until time to go pick up our grandson at preschool. We stayed and played until about 3:30 and then made our way to the house where it was playtime. December 8, 2025 Monday This morning we left our respective house and headed toward each other with the goal of meeting at our older sons house. We all got together and picked up our grandson from pre school. We have had tickets to ride the North Pole Express train since October. We arrived at the parking garage at around 3:10. December 6, 2025 Saturday The phone rang at about 6:00 am and David answered the call especially because it was from the hospital. They wanted consent to give his mom blood due to low hemoglobin levels. He gave the consent and slept a little more. David was up early and off to the hospital. December 5, 2025 Friday This has been a long day for David. He sat in the ER with his mother from about midnight to about 11:00. They moved his mom to a room around 11:00 and around then his middle brother came in and stayed until about 12:30. David took over again around that time until his youngest brother came by after work. David spent this idle time on his phone for a while and then read his new book Crooked Cross by Sally Carson. December 4, 2025 Thursday This morning David woke up, got ready and drove to the tournament where our younger son’s team is playing. He spent the day at the tournament watching basketball games. Our younger son’s team won both of their games which is much better than them losing. David was able to visit with several people he worked with when he worked there. Several teachers and coaches still work there most of whom taught and coached our younger son who graduated from the

December 3, 2025 Wednesday David spent most of the morning organizing in the bathroom, specifically the large linen closet. Amy is at her sister’s house with her and her daughter. Amy’s day was lazy and slow with lots of Hallmark movies and other tv. David spent an hour or two with his parents and youngest brother. December 2, 2025 Tuesday This morning we slept in a bit and then got Amy ready to go to her sister’s house. She left about 10:30 and was there by about 3:00. David got the car registered and found some clothes that we had in storage at his mother’s. He and his brother ate Pizza for lunch and then went to see their parents. Their third brother also showed up and brought them some pie he had made. So it was the whole family together at the nursing center which is an oddity.

December 1, 2025 Monday December begins with doing errands for our selves and some of our friends. In the morning David had a dermatologist appointment and afterwards we picked up prescriptions that were refilled while we were gone. Most of the middle part of the day was taken up with taking some friends to a town about 45 minutes away to pick up the police report from an accident they were in this past Friday night. November 30, 2025 Sunday Today is the last day of November and that means doing the math. At the end of this post we will have the financial details for the month of November which we fear was a poor month. We made it to church this morning with Amy’s dad and bonus mom. November 29, 2025 Saturday David was up (not early) putting out fires: replacing a headlight, picking up mail, mailing a package, paying for the PO Box. Our younger son had a basketball game so we left at about 11:30 to get to his 12:30 game. The game was a good one with his team winning by 11. After the game we had lunch at Torchy’s since our home base city doesn’t have one and David had a free chips and queso for his birthday. We made a stop at the Home store just to ge
