February 25, 2026 Wednesday This morning Amy and her sister left their sewing retreat and headed to the rendezvous with other family members near the international airport. Most of the family is meeting up as a sort of a goodbye to our niece who will be flying back to China Thursday morning. David had rehab and then his hour and a half walk. February 24, 2026 Tuesday Today was a day with very little going on in the morning. Amy was sewing away somewhere in the middle of nowhere with almost no cell service. David got up late and did make a storage unit run to exchange some things again. Nothing eventful in the afternoon either. February 23, 2026 Monday 25 Days to our transatlantic cruise and only 20 days to our flight to Barcelona. Today David did a considerable amount of research on things to do while in Spain. We still haven’t booked anything further but we may consider some of the excursions we have investigated. One thing we keep thinking we might do is make a side trip to the African continent. February 22, 2026 Sunday This morning we watched the Olympic hockey game where the men’s US team played Canada for the Gold Medal in Milan, Italy. The US won in overtime which was fun. It was the first gold in men’s ice hockey since The Miracle on Ice in 1980. We were a junior and freshman in high school so that was a really long time ago. February 21, 2026 Saturday This morning we got up and took care of a few things and packed up the car. David took a package to the post office having sold another item on EBay. We got away around 10:00 and made it to our older son’s house by around 12:30. We picked up some food just before we got there and ate before getting ready to take our grandson to a birthday party. February 20, 2026 Friday We both had substitute gigs today. Amy’s was half day that turned into a whole day. David spent his day playing with 3rd, 4th and 5th graders and got paid for it. After the school day David washed the car and worked on some more EBay listings. He has about 20 items listed at the moment. We both got some pay for a couple of our previous subbing jobs which was nice. We worked on our plans for the weekend and for the coming week which all look to

February 19, 2026 Thursday Today both David and Amy had substitute teaching jobs. Amy at the high school and David at the intermediate school. Amy had Spanish and David did PE. Tomorrow David has the same assignment but Amy is off unless she gets a call and they talk her into taking an assignment. We were both quite tired when we got home and spent some time resting. February 17, 2026 Wednesday Today was a day busy with appointments. David had rehab and dermatologist appointments. Amy had a hair appointment. They both had a cardiologist appointment with David’s mom and brother in the afternoon. David did his mile and a half walk after rehab and made a stop at Home Depot. February 16, 2026 Tuesday David got a call to go sub for 6th grade social studies and felt like he couldn’t pass it up. So that took care of most of his day. Amy had errands to run with a friend, a doctor’s appointment and spent some time with her dad and bonus mom. The evening was spent driving to our son’s final game of the season. February 16, 2026 Monday Another 8:00am rehab session for David. He did a mile and a half walk afterwards and then made a stop for a couple of more storage containers. He did some more sorting by sorting into three categories: keep, donate, and trash. Amy did some unpacking and sorting of mostly clothing items. February 15, 2026 Sunday After church we had leftovers at David’s mother’s house with her and his brother. One of our friends was having a big 80th birthday party for her mother at 1:30. We managed to get both David’s mom and dad to the party with David’s brother doing the work to get their dad there. February 14, 2026 Saturday Today Amy ran errands while David moved some repacked containers to the storage unit. He brought home a few more boxes to go through this week. In the afternoon we all went to the nursing home: David, Amy and both of David’s brothers and of course his mom. February 13, 2026 Friday David had rehab at 8:00 and afterwards walked about a mile at the park. He ran a couple of more errands on the way home. He spent the morning reorganizing some of our things from the storage building and breaking down boxes since we have so many. Amy did some organizing as well. February 12, 2026 Thursday It’s a beautiful day with temps in the low 70s and sunny. Sometimes February can be a really nice month but we all know more cold is coming. Amy got up and went to sewing group. David went to his mother’s house. She didn’t get up and ready until about noon. He took her to see his dad and returned from there around 4:30. The evening was spent hanging out at David’s mother’s house watching the Olympics.

February 11, 2026 Wednesday David spent the morning organizing and going through some of our packed items. He made a trip to the storage unit and brought a few boxes home to go through. He sorted lots of glass items in hopes of selling or just donating to a local resale shop. He did some laundry and had lunch before going to his mother’s house. February 9, 2026 Tuesday This morning David had rehab. After rehab he went to his mother’s and stayed with her most of the day. They spent most of that time watching the Olympics. His brother came over at about 2:30 and watched until he went to get ready to go to work. At around 5:00 David left to go to our younger son’s game. The game was a doozy with our son’s team winning by one point in overtime. It was quite an exciting game in front of a fairly large crowd. David

February 9, 2026 Monday This morning David checked to make the caregiver was with his mom and then went to take care of some errands. He picked up some food for himself on the way home and stopped at his mom’s at about 11:00. At that point the caregiver had about an hour to go and we were expecting the home health people around 11:00. February 8, 2026 Sunday Today is the day for one of the biggest sporting events on the planet. But most of the day was spent doing work around our son’s house. David and our son spent a large part of the day decking their attic with plywood. They will be sore tomorrow from handling ten 4’ x 4’ sheets of plywood. February 7, 2026 Saturday The plan for today was for Amy and her sister and two of her grandchildren to come to our son’s house and pick up our grandson. They were going to go to Chucky Cheese and then to our older son’s basketball game. Unfortunately our grandson started throwing up during the night and the day began with a trip to the care clinic. They decided against anothing serious and gave his something for nausea so that he could at least keep down some fluids. All
