Wayfaring Day 223

February 8, 2026 Sunday

Today is the day for one of the biggest sporting events on the planet. But most of the day was spent doing work around our son’s house. David and our son spent a large part of the day decking their attic with plywood. They will be sore tomorrow from handling ten 4’ x 4’ sheets of plywood. After that project David worked on a storage cabinet and then mostly played with our grandson. They watched the game but not exclusively. There was quite a ruckus living room basketball game played during the first half. At half time our son went and got everyone some chicken. David stayed unto the game was nearly over and then drove home. He was home at about 11:30.

Amy spent much of her day at our nephew’s house where everyone had a sort of party and watched the game. They had a houseful with Amy and her two brothers and sister, and our nephew and his wife and four kids. Our nephew grilled for their group which seems a little more traditional. They hung out there until after the game. So all in all most everyone had a nice Sunday.
