February 11, 2026 Wednesday
David spent the morning organizing and going through some of our packed items. He made a trip to the storage unit and brought a few boxes home to go through. He sorted lots of glass items in hopes of selling or just donating to a local resale shop. He did some laundry and had lunch before going to his mother’s house. The caregiver had already gone for the day and the physical therapy person was there.
His mom was not interested in going to visit his dad at that time so David went to get an oil change and donate some glassware to a local charitable resale shop.

The afternoon did not see David’s mom make it to see her husband. David tried to get some more sorting done before dinner time. For dinner David cooked pork chops and mixed vegetables. After dinner David’s brother left to do some things before going to bed. David stayed with his mother until about 11:00pm watching the Olympics. Amy arrived at David’s mom’s house at about 10:30 and joined in the Olympics watching until they headed home.
Amy spent the day traveling from her sister’s with a very long stop at our grandson’s. She picked him up from preschool and then stayed at their house until about 8:00. Leaving late usually helps with avoiding the heavy traffic out of the city. She had a great visit with our grandson who she had not spent much time with in over a month. It’s possible we may go back up there this weekend but we haven’t decided at this time.
