Wayfaring Day 236

This morning we got up and took care of a few things and packed up the car. David took a package to the post office having sold another item on EBay. We got away around 10:00 and made it to our older son’s house by around 12:30. We picked up some food just before we got there and ate before getting ready to take our grandson to a birthday party.

The party was from 1:30 to 3:00 so we drove straight from the party to our oldest son’s basketball game. Our older son met us at the game as did Amy’s dad and bonus mom. The game went better than expected and we only lost by 9 at the hands of the team who is in first place. We picked up some Hawaiian style shrimp and rice on the way our son’s house. Everyone enjoyed our shrimp and rice and afterwards it was time to play with our grandson. By 8:30 things were beginning to wind down and we were all watching some basketball since one of our son’s players is on tv with Providence as a GA.

We and our younger son went and checked into our hotel. This was our first time to stay at a Spark by Hilton. Our digital key would not open the door so we had to get a key from the front desk. We were able to get in but then we found the room had not been cleaned. So we went back down to the front desk at which point they gave us a new room that was actually an upgrade from the other room. Things were a bit problematic at check in but everything else seems satisfactory. We were all pretty tired and turned in before 11:00.
