Wayfaring Day 281

April 6, 2026 Monday

After we were up and ready we checked out of the hotel and drove to our grandson’s house. There we had some play time and some preparation time. We had several things to bring to the hospital for our son and his wife. This meant multiple stops on the way to the hospital. It was afternoon by the time we made it to the hospital.

David spent some time in the waiting room with our son and grandson while Amy held Twin A and her mother slept. It appears Twin B will be staying in the hospital until at least Saturday depending on how she fairs between now and then. Eventually mom woke up and we were all back in the room together. After awhile we left with our grandson to take him to his gymnastics class. He seems to really enjoy it. Of course it is really just play time for him. After gymnastics we made our way back to the house where David played with our grandson for a long while. The drive home was not bad and we were there by about 11:30.

We spent a considerable amount of time with preparation for the funeral. There are still several things to take care of but we are getting there. We have been texting and making calls and continuing with notifications and planning. With all that is going on it has been a difficult to relax or feel as ease.
