Wayfaring Day 283

This morning we met with the preacher for about two hours talking about David’s mom and getting things lined out for the funeral. The preacher went to the nursing center and visited with his dad later in the day spending about an hour with him. In the afternoon we spent a good part of our time working on clothes for David’s dad as well as some clothes for David. We put together several things and took them for him to look at and decide what he wanted to wear for the visitation and for the funeral. He was handling things fairly well today but he is worried about how he will handle things the next two days.

There were lots of calls and texts today and several details to attend to. We met David’s brother and a friend for dinner and afterward went to their mom’s house. The rest of the evening we worked on getting David’s dad’s clothes clean and ready while we worked on cleaning up the house some. There will be a meal provided for us at the house after the interment so we have to get things ready for having about 17 people to be able to eat dinner there. By 11:30 or so we were ready to go home and get some sleep.
