Wayfaring Day 73

Today is 9/11 so most of us have no choice but to reflect on that day and think back on the events of the day and the days following. We have been to the 9/11 Museum in New York and we testify to the fact that this is one of the must see museums in the United States.

This morning our niece had a doctors appointment about an hour away from home. We left in the morning and made the appointment with no problem. A few stops were on the agenda and then we had lunch at Schlotzkys. We didn’t want to get back too late due to the football game. Our nephew was playing in his first real 7th grade football game.

The game started at 5:00 so we and our niece got there at about 4:30 because David likes to watch the pre game warm up. David coached football for 30 years so he gets into things like that. The temperature was about 93 degrees at the start of the game so not really desirable football weather. The game was pretty good for 7th grade and our nephew’s son played well. And the icing on the cake was that the team won.

After the game we made the short drive back to the house and had leftovers for dinner. Overall a good day.

Still working on travel plans for the UK. We have been considering several scenarios that include possible stay overs in London or Dublin or neither. Airfares are tricky especially with all the ways you can pay for seats and baggage.
