The morning was filled with getting our little buddy fed and ready for school. We had a nice morning and our grandson went into his classroom as happy as ever. We spent the rest of the morning cleaning up the house and getting everything in order for the return of our grandson’s mom and dad. We were at the pre-school at the usual time and we stayed about an hour playing on the playgrounds. We drove home and played and had snacks for a couple of hours. We got in the car and drove to the airport. On the way we stopped for some chicken at Canes just outside the airport entrance. We took our chicken to the top of the parking garage so that we could eat and watch planes land and take off. When it was close to time for their flight to land we moved the car down to the bottom floor. We walked over to the terminal and waited at the bottom of the escalators for our grandson’s parents. When they came down the escalator he was very excited and ran to greet them. It was fun watching him be so happy. We retrieved their luggage and walked to the car. We were at their house in less than thirty minutes. There was enough time for them to hang out and talk before our grandson had to go to bed.
Later we made our first hotel reservations for the UK sitting. We made a reservation for a Holiday Inn Express in Dublin. The location will be close to some of the tours we are looking to take. This will be a two night stay at a cost of 380€ or $455.

A few notes on the spending:
The goal is $100 per day so we were over.
These figures do not include our debt payments, long term medical payments, future travel or certain incidentals.
Future travel will be applied to month in which the travel occurs.
Keep in mind that some of our large line items include considerable spending for people in our family. We pay for dining for some or all of those we dine out with. We also spend money on items and supplies for family members that include repairs, painting or improvements. We spend an over abundance on shopping due to several unforeseen situations or for future travel.
All of this however is not an excuse for our less than discriminate spending and we must improve going forward.
