Wayfaring Day 81

Today was a day for visiting with family and preparing to our trip back to home base. Amy made some finishing touches to her bathroom project. David went out did a little Geocaching. The car was so completely covered in white sand that he had to wash it before returning to the house.

We did spend some time working on the UK trip but still not certain on which way to go. We have about decided that we need to do London another time when we can spend more time there. Airfares keep inching upward so the deals are starting to get scarce. We always like finding the great deals when we travel and take some pride in that fact. This time it is not looking good for finding any amazing deals. Now we are considering how much we want to add to the trip to make it more of a typical vacation. With higher airfares we think we should do more in the area where we will be staying. Car rental is also very tricky in the UK. Some have deposits of up to $5000! Most cars have manual transmissions and the automatics cost somewhat more. It appears we may spend close to $1000 on the car alone. We will eventually figure it out. We have to.
