Amy’s sister had gotten home fairly late in the day on Tuesday. Unfortunately everyone she rode home with had Covid. She decided she would quarantine herself while getting some Covid tests done over the next couple of days.
We headed back to Amy’s sister’s house in the morning after our grandson went to pre-school.
Amy’s sister was very tired from her return from the Mediterranean so keeping to herself was not a problem. She took one Covid test and it was negative. Her main concern was for the baby so we did get to talk to her when she was awake.
This evening the local high school was having their homecoming parade and we made the decision we would go. We met up with our nephew and stood with him to watch the parade. His wife and their 3 sons were all in the parade so we were able to see them and wave at them as they passed by. It was a long parade that shut down a US highway for about an hour. The floats were mostly flat bed trailers some of which were pulled by large semi tractor trucks. The cheerleaders probably received the most attention by riding on the back of a fleet of large and loud motorcycles. Oh yeah, and lots of horses.
After the parade it was back to the house for a little blog writing, TV watching and sleeping. Amy’s sister had taken a second Covid test and it was also negative. That was some good news.
