Each morning we were up early enough to have our included breakfast at Next Door by Imperial which is attached to the hotel. The staff were very attentive and friendly and the breakfast offerings were always excellent and bountiful.

Today we are headed to Prague Castle for a tour of the grounds and a small group guided tour of St. Vitus Cathedral. The grounds and Cathedral are a wonder to behold. Situated on a hill overlooking the city this history rich area remains the seat of the Czech government. The Gothic architecture and stained glass are awe inspiring but the preserved history here is just as incredible. Prague Castle is called the crown jewel of the Czech Republic and houses the president and several governmental departments. This is a very crowded place and we would strongly suggest setting up your tour of the Cathedral well in advance. Our group had our own tour guide for the rest of the grounds so you might have to look into ways to tour some of the other areas with a guide. The Cathedral is crowded and can get a little uncomfortable but with the guided tour we were able to go into areas that the general visitors were not allowed. In one particular area we went through a small door onto a balcony with amazing views of the city.

After returning to the hotel we had a little time before having to meet in the lobby to leave for the basketball game. The game was played about 20 minutes outside of the city. We played a tier one pro team and somehow managed to hang on at the end to get the win. Afterwards there was a social with the other team with plenty of food for everyone to enjoy while visiting with players and coaches from the Czech team. Having fellowship and creating good will is a bigger part of this tour than the winning or losing.
