Gibraltar

Today our port of call was Gibraltar. We walked into town and then walked the primary street through town for a while. Since there was no internet available here we sat in front of a walk up Taco Bell and used their wifi for a bit. We had to be back on board by 3:30 so we didn’t do an excursion and just walked around town and took a few pics. Of the places we have visited on this trip, Gibraltar has been the most mundane.

On the walk back to the ship we stopped at a store and stocked up on a few things, including some toiletries, for the 10 plus days at sea. Once we were on board we did as many people did and stood or sat on one of the upper decks watching Gibraltar slowly disappear from site as we headed through the Strait of Gibraltar along with many other ships leaving or entering the Mediterranean. We watched the African coast pass by on the port side, wishing we could have somehow found a way to visit the continent as we sailed so close. This would be our last sight of land for quite some time.

Before we completely made it through the strait it was time for dinner. By the time we had finished dinner it was getting dark. We found things to do on the Carnival Hub app as will be a daily habit over the next two weeks. We have no plans to describe each day at sea in details. Sea days will be combined once we are at Celebration Key in the Bahamas. After that there are only two seas days before arrival at our final destination.
