Wayfaring Day 264

Alicante

We got up and ready after they made the announcement that we could depart the ship.

We went to the late risers breakfast and then on the rear deck to take some pictures. We picked up our prepaid Coke and Coke Zero on the way back to our room to get everything together for the day in Alicante. We exited the ship and caught the bus into town. It was €11 each for the round trip.

Once in town we looked up and purchased our self guided walking tour. It actually only cost us $1 since we have some Trip Advisor cash built up. The tour took us to the major sites in town and of course to some of the more obscure sites that we would have never known existed. In some cases we could have survived never knowing about some of the sites but it was fun. The only negative was that the Market was closed today due to it being Sunday.

After the tour we hung out around the harbor and the beach. The beach area is pretty nice but also crowded. We eventually decided to catch our bus back to the ship. We were on board right at our 5:30 dinner time so we went straight to the restaurant. After dinner we relaxed for a while and waited for the second Marcus Anthony show. His shown is very entertaining even though we have seen him twice before. By the time the show was over we were ready to turn in for the night.

We are not paying for ship wifi so our posts will be shorter and intermittent for the next week or so.
