After some eggs and sausage Amy headed off with her dad to pick up her sister after she receives a shot in the leg for a problem she is having. They will pick her up and then drive the nearly three hours back to home base.

David went to a park to walk the trails for an hour. He hasn’t done his hour walk since sometime in maybe October. His walk went well. He then went back the storage unit to break down a cabinet and bring a few things home. The things he brought home are to sell, give away or throw away. They just need to go away.

After noon David went to his mother’s and took her to visit with his dad around 1:45. He cooked some hamburgers on the grill just so someone could have them later. Both his brothers were there for a little while. After a while they all left to go do other things leaving picking up his mother to his younger brother. David went back home and had five boneless wings and the sat down to do research, read, write and relax.

Later in the evening David and his brother went to a college basketball game. They were back home around ten. Amy got home a little after 7:00. After everyone had made it home David went to his mother’s and got her to bed.

11 Days to Barcelona:
With 11 days to go we have been getting things together for the trip and looking at the weather so we can start thinking about how we are going to pack. We each get a checked bag which will be plenty if we pack smart. The cruise is a bigger issue than the land portion due to the evening dining and other cruise specific packing that we don’t have as much room for. Cruise people tend to take lots of luggage. We have been trying to really work on packing lighter for cruises.
Today Spain was in the news in regard to the US/Israeli war with Iran. We will watch the situation but we are not concerned about our travel plans at this point. We always have concerns as to how we, as US citizens, may be perceived in Europe. Our concern may be a little higher in that regard due to some of the friction created by present circumstances that could possibly worsen by the time we travel to Barcelona. We will of course do everything we can to be respectful of our Spanish hosts so as not be perceived as “ugly Americans”.
