We were up and out of our room by 6:20. Breakfast was open early so we grab a bite before heading to our 6:40 meeting point. Our meeting location was just a short walk away at the hotel next door. We showed our ticket and they sent us to the correct bus since there were 5 buses leaving from this location. The tour guide and driver were very welcoming and had us moving out before 6:55 as advertised. We stopped at our only other pick up point at about 7:00 and were soon on our way. We stopped at a travel plaza for a break after driving about an hour. From there the next stop was The Cliffs of Moher which is an UNESCO World Heritage site. Once there was light we were able to see several ruins of castles and monasteries along the way.

The cliffs are truly amazing. We walked each direction for plenty of great views. We did not venture too far past the observation tower but we had plenty of great observation locations and we took many a pic. David was able to get around decently here but we still took it slow. After walking in the cold wind along the cliffs we visited the visitor center, gift shop and restrooms before getting back to the bus a few minutes earlier than the deadline given by our tour guide.

From there it was a interesting drive along very narrow roads through rural coastal Ireland where we say thatch roof cottages, more castle ruins and the rocky landscape of the Burren.

After a couple of hours we arrived at our second two hour stop at Galway. This is a small city with a lot of small town atmosphere. We were able to visit the Christmas market and do some shopping. We had Hake and Chips and a chicken breast at a recommended fish and chips place. We had a great time here before heading to the bus at around 4:30. The two hour drive back to Dublin was all in the dark so not much to report from the return trip.
Overall a great tour with a great guide and driver.

The tour company (Wild Rover) had us back down town and disembarking by about 7:30pm. We walked up O‘Connoll to our hotel stopping at a few points of interest along the way. At The Spire there is a light projection show and not far from there was a video set up where you see people from other countries and wave at them in real time. The window took us to Lithuania, The UK and France. That was cool. We bought some donuts along the way and had a couple on our way to the hotel.

We have to get up before 4:00 to get to our 6:55 flight to Liverpool so we tried to get to bed early while having everything ready for a quick exit in the morning.
