December 22, 2025 Monday

This morning Amy’s dad made us all breakfast by making all the fixings for taquitos or breakfast burritos or breakfast tacos depending on your definition or experience. David went with Amy’s younger brother out to the their nephew’s family’s lake house to pick up a couple of things. David had never been there and he was impressed by the location and the house. If they lake just had more water it would be an excellent lakeside retreat. This lake is seldom full.

This morning the kitchen was in a bit of a frenzy while several of us made final preparations for today’s lunch. David took our grandson to his cousin’s house to get him out of the house so he could play. They hung out over there until everyone else arrived. By 1:30 we had everyone there and started to get ready for our family Christmas lunch. Afterwards the kids opened presents and played with new toys. We did no adult presents this year so it was a fairly short event with each of the four boys opening about three presents each. We are definitely having an energetic and noisy day. In other words, fun aplenty!

The evening was lethargic and peaceful other than cars on the highway. Once the traffic subsides this is a very quiet and still place. We did have leftovers for dinner and watched some football while the kids played with their new toys. We went back to Amy’s sister’s without our grandson who stayed with his mom and dad. David iced his knee some since it was hurting more today. We didn’t stay up too late today since it was a busy day and we were tired.
