Wayfaring Day 172

December 18, 2025 Thursday

The morning was dedicated to David’s mom and her hospital visit for the imaging that was scheduled yesterday. She was back at the nursing center by about 11:30. Later at home we had our leftover Chinese food for lunch. In the afternoon we went to David’s mother’s house to do some organizing and cleaning up for Christmas. We plan to do our Christmas here at home base at her house. We were there until about 8:30.

Before leaving David’s mom’s house we had started watching our older son’s basketball team. They are on a pretty lengthy road trip. At halftime they were winning by two. They managed to win by 9 and claim their first win this season which is their first D2 conference win. They have a 6 hour drive to their next game and then a 12 hour drive back to their university on Saturday night. We won, and that’s all any of us care about right now.

We turned in around 11:30. David’s mom has another appointment tomorrow morning at 8:00 with the heart doctor to discuss the procedure. David is still limping around and is just starting the new pain med tonight.
