The days have been pretty sad lately but it could be said that we are still Wayfaring. Presently we are in a home base phase and not a travel phase. That was always part of the plan but right now our life is dictating our Wayfaring cycle. You can’t always plan for everything or for every contingency which is just part of life. Sometimes you just have to take things one day at a time. Sometimes you just have to take a step back and be calm and grateful in whatever the present circumstances afford you. In the Muppets Christmas Carol Scrooge asks the question, “How will we ever endure it?” We hope that things will change and like Scrooge not be faced with those things that are difficult to endure. However, in life there are things that must be endured at some point. You cannot keep the heart beating in your chest beating forever but that other heart must go on. It must endure. It must live.

Today David experienced almost no pain in his knee which was a very welcomed relief. Walking is still not perfect but at least much better than before. We had lunch at a local Chinese restaurant and then spent some time visiting with David’s parents.
In the evening we relaxed while watching some TV. Amy made some chicken soup for dinner.
We did continue with some UK planning by buying tickets to another show. We had been looking at this show in Manchester for some time and decided we would go ahead with the purchase. We still plan to look into a couple of other things including a Man City match.

NOTE on Washington- One of our wayfaring stops:
We have been watching the flooding in Washington. The town in which we did our dog sitting is on the Snohomish River. It is bizarre to see the city and some of the places we visited covered in water. The house where we stayed should be safe as it north of town on a hill. The pics show the trail we walked when we were there and how it is under several feet of water now.
