October 29, 2025 Wednesday
This morning David drove his bus route and then went to his mother’s to get her going for the day. He made some breakfast and stayed around until the lady who comes in on Wednesday arrived. Amy had some things going on today so she did not sub. David and his brother other had to take their dad to get a new ID since his license expired and he no longer drives. After that adventure they took him to Chick-fil-a which was his choice.

The afternoon was used for errands and more bus driving. For dinner David’s brother picked up a Pappa John’s pizza. He has a year of “free” pizzas that he bought at a charity auction and the first coupon expires at the end of October. It was a bad food day for us so we had one slice and a salad.

Later in the evening David went to the football field to exercise. His workout today was the 22 x 160 “running” workout with stretching and 90 crunches after. (22 x 160 is cross field runs on the football field. Basically a weave from the goal line to the other goal line and back).
Travel Update:
Our plans are to fly out Saturday to LAX and return on November 23rd. But we have some dire family issues that may result in some drastic changes during our travel. We may just go ahead as planned and figured it out if and when we have to, or we may try to cut our losses before the cancellation dates pass. Situations like this make us think that doing Vrbo or Airbnb is less desirable than just getting hotel rooms even if the price is higher. With hotels you can arrange your reservations so that you can cancel with no penalties right up to your date of travel. If we do some cancellations today we would lose somewhere around $140 just in accommodations. After today we lose at least $600. We will have to look at each segment of our air travel to see how much we could potentially lose if we have to change our plans. There is always risk in travel and we do not typically buy travel insurance. Travel insurance is very hard to claim due to how rigidly the policies are written.
