Wayfaring Day 116

October 24, 2025 Friday

This morning we packed for our weekend meander and did some things at David’s mom’s. In addition to family we also have paid help with David’s mom over the next four days. David and his youngest brother will be out of town leaving only his middle brother in town to help with their mother.

We left town around 11:00 for Amy’s brother’s house. With stops and some really slow traffic near their house we arrived at about 4:00. We met Amy’s other brother at a restaurant in town and had a nice sit down meal together. Afterwards we returned to Amy’s brother’s house and sat around visiting with him and his wife while we watched the World Series.

It began to rain around 9:00 and then continued to rain and storm off and on all night. More rain is expected on Saturday which could dampen our plans for Saturday.

We continue to get messages concerning the concert. They are giving a lot of details about security, getting there early, parking, bus service, what you can and can’t bring into the venue. There was also additional information about food, drink and merchandise sales outside the venue between 2:00 and 6:00. Hopefully it will not be raining during those four hours before doors open at 6:00. We will try to plan our walk over to the venue keeping all of this in mind and watching the weather.
