Wayfaring Day 109

October 17, 2025 Friday

Our grandson woke us up around 7:30 but after he went to pre-school we slept some more. We were both up and ready by around noon which meant only an hour and half until we had to go pick him up. We stayed and played at the church playground until about three. A short stop for a few items at Albertsons was made on the way back to the house. We did a lot of playing with the characters of Sonic the Hedgehog, airplanes and dinosaurs before dinner. We brought him a toy Boeing 787 from the Boeing Museum so we had to play airplanes for a little while.

Since Amy was flying all day on her birthday we gave her the choice of what to have for dinner. Her choice was WingStop and our son and David went and picked up the order so we could eat at home. Yes….WingStop.

After dinner there was more playing mixed with decorating for Halloween. Most of the decorating is done but our grandson had to take us out on a tour. He and his dad walked us around to show us everything which was much more fun than you might imagine. Later he had to get a bath and then he joined his mom in her bedroom to watch a Halloween cartoon featuring Mickey Mouse. Our grandson then said his goodnights and went to bed.

David and our older son spent about 30 minutes talking to our younger son about the game he was coaching at this evening. We also passed along area scores to each other and talked about playoff scenarios. He is of course more concerned about basketball season but for now he keeps up with the high school football scores and standings until he can start basketball.

Eventually everyone turned in with David staying up the latest as usual.
