Wayfaring Day 43

The plan had been to leave for our Son´s house today and go to the pre-trip get together with the others we would travel with to Europe. But with David´s mom in the hospital and some of the details still not determined we knew we needed to stay near her for as long as possible. The doctor wanted to wait another day or two for the surgery which put David´s younger brother in a quandary and he began to consider not going on the trip at all. The issue had to do with getting some of the meds out of her system before doing the surgery. At over 80 years of age there are always considerations that have to be taken into account before having a serious procedure. So with things still up in the air David and Amy decided to not drive to our son´s house until Wednesday morning. The flight is not until after 3:00 pm so it was not a big deal to stay another night. With everything that was happening the stress level began to rise as we were dealing with so many issues at once and at the last minute. Fortunately things became more favorable for the surgery to be scheduled on Thursday or Friday. Other issues had been addressed today so things were going about as well as could be expected. We finished packing and had everything ready so that we could leave early the next morning.
