August 3, 2025 Sunday
Today was a Sunday at home base which means church with Amy´s dad and step mom and then eating out afterwards. Then we visit David´s parents for a while. Amy then left for our grandson´s house and David stayed to do a few things and make a few appointments on Monday and Tuesday.
Taking the step to join TrustedHouseSitters.com was another one of those ¨dive in¨ decisions. That´s the only way to find out how this works or even if it works for us. TrustedHouseSitters (from now on THS) is not free. The cost to join was $126.75 with a special deal that saves a little on the initial membership. Is it worth the price? Only one way to find out. Well, I guess someone could read someone else´s blog and find out that way. Oh well.
The process of becoming a member requires not only dollars but also a lot of information and background checks. We did the background checks for both of us because the site claims this increases your chances of getting chosen. They offer a money back guarantee that allows you to get your money back if you are unable to get a sit after a certain number of applications over a specific period of time. It would take a day or two for the approval, but we were still able to get on the app and explore sitting possibilities. Over the next few days we will find some sits to apply for and see what happens.
