Wayfaring Day 32

August 1, 2025 Friday

With school starting this coming Monday, David decided to take our younger son to Shreveport/Bossier to eat at Ralph and Kacoo´s and then play a little at the Margaritaville Casino. We had alligator, fish and shrimp and then headed over to the casino. Margaritaville is our favorite since it is the newest casino on the Red River and more importantly it is like a regular casino with everything on one level unlike the older casino boat style with multiple levels. We both were ahead after playing Roulette for a while so we decided to quit and go home with more than we started with in our pockets. The timing was perfect for stopping at the famous Shreveport Southern Maid Donuts for hot donuts. We ate a couple in the car and took the rest home with us.

Amy spent the day mainly decompressing after a week of keeping our grandson. She was far more interested in having a calm relaxing day than going to a Casino. Our son drove home in the late afternoon while we rested for the rest of the day at home base. We discussed some of David´s findings regarding house sitting and also our plans for the week since our anniversary was coming up on the fourth.
