Wayfaring Day 255

March 12, 2026 Thursday

This morning Amy went to sewing and sewed into the afternoon. David went to his MRI and got that done. Maybe we will know something from the MRI soon and maybe do something about the problem sometime after we get back from our trip. David picked up some lunch for him and his mom and they ate together at her house. David’s mom was not really feeling great today so she did not go visit with her husband today.

David spent much of the afternoon with his mother and around 4:30 Amy went to visit her dad for a while.

We brought sandwiche makings to David’s mothers for some dinner. We wanted to keep it kind of bland for his mother. We had sandwiches and chips while watching some Hallmark mysteries David’s brother stopped on his way home from work to visit with their dad before going to their mother’s for dinner. After an evening of watching tv David’s mother went to bed and we all made our way to David’s brother’s house

We plan to go to our grandson’s tomorrow to pick him up from preschool and keep him while our son and his wife go out to dinner. Saturday we will go back to home base and finish packing and getting everything ready. The plan for Sunday is to leave early and get to the airport parking aroumd noon. It’s about a four hour drive to this airport which is further than the others we use But, the cruise ends back in that city so we will be starting and ending our trip in the same place. Parking will cost us about $150 and then to ride to the parking lot from the cruise terminal is going to be about $115. Both of these are really good prices considering the time we will be on our trip and the convenience of scheduling a ride versus taking a shared shuttle. We used The Parking Spot for our parking and scheduled a ride through Lyft for the trip back to our car.

The trip is getting close and we can feel it. We have several things to do before we leave and we are most likely going to forget something.

Note on Money: we are behind on looking at our spending since the Ireland/UK trip. Maybe we can get caught up while we are at sea for 10 days. It’s probably not likely due to issue with internet and phone issues while out of the country.
