Today was spent keeping our grandson and grand dog while their mom and dad are doing there jobs. Mostly a day of playing, watching Bluey episodes and eating some Griff´s burgers for lunch. At the end of the day our arms were a little sore from swinging our four year old for hours but we don´t mind. Mostly a day of just kicking around the house but there was some time for doing some research. No big ideas or decisions today.
Today we will take a moment to give a little of our travel background which will shed a little light on our preferences for travel and our interests in general. Obviously we both enjoy travel. Amy comes from a family that traveled extensively and usually in a motorhome. David´s family tended to keep things closer to home and traveled far less. After getting married in 1984 Amy and David made their first trip together as a married couple. That trip was a honeymoon trip to Panama City Beach. We love beaches but certainly not exclusively. They made their first trip to Disney World together in 1987. Both had their first trips to Orlando while in high school or just after. Presently each of us have been to Disney World more than 10 times since then. Disneyland has been a destination less often but we have still visited several times. But we are not simply theme park geeks. We also enjoy National Parks. We have been to Grand Canyon Yellowstone, Yosemite, Glacier, Mount Ranier, Smoky Mountains and several others over the years. We like cities as well having enjoyed some fun trips to New York, LA, Chicago, San Francisco and others. We are one state short of visiting all 50 states with only the state of North Dakota left to conquer. Cruises have been a somewhat new experience as we have been on a total of three cruises all within the past four years. Sometimes we travel for events such as concerts, musicals or sporting events. David has been to the NCAA Final Four three times and Amy has been twice. We have been season ticket holders for multiple musical theater series, Major League Baseball and theme parks. And though we have very few winter experiences like snow skiing and whatever people do in very cold places, we still feel we have an open view of the world in which we pursue a somewhat eclectic and immersive lifestyle. So depending on your world view definitions we are either boring or fun, restless or content, exciting or dull, intriguing or uninteresting. None of this is important. Look at what we do and then do you.
